How to setup Fenrir Pass

This page introduces how to install and get started using Smartphone App Linker and Web App Linker.

Before you begin

There are two steps before you begin. First, it is recommended that you install Sleipnir 3 beforehand, and then access this page using Sleipnir 3.

Using Sleipnir 3? Great! Next, you need to register with Fenrir Pass.

Register Fenrir Pass ID

Please obtain a Fenrir Pass ID in order to use Smartphone App Linker.

win
For users of Sleipnir 3 for Windows

Select [Fenrir Pass] > [Create new account] from the [Sleipnir] button located in the title bar, and then proceed to the create new account screen. Once you have finished registering you will be logged in so there will be no need to log in again.
mac
For users of Sleipnir 3 for Mac

Select [Sleipnir] > [Fenrir Pass] > [Create new account] from the menu bar, and then proceed to the create new account screen. Once you have finished registering you will be logged in so there will be no need to log in again.

Ok, now you’re ready to install and get started using Smartphone App Linker and Web App Linker.

Smartphone App Linker setup

Sleipnir Linker is the smartphone app for linking Sleipnir 3 and smartphones. It allows you to easily displaying web pages you are viewing on your desktop on your smartphone, click phone numbers to call from your smartphone, send maps to your smartphone, and more.

  • Install Sleipnir Linker

    First, please install Sleipnir Linker from App Store or Google play.

    Sleipnir Linker is 100% free. Installation is only required once.

    Once the installation has finished, please start up Sleipnir Linker on your phone. Select [Log in] and then input your Fenrir Pass ID and password.

    How about trying to send a notification from Sleipnir 3 to your smartphone?

    Clicking the following example phone number. The number should appear on your phone and be easy to dial.

    Select the address below and right-click on it. Please select [Send "text" to mobile device] from the right-click menu. Then select [Open map] from the menu to open the address in your phone’s map app.

    Sending a URL

    Let's try sending the URL of this page to your smartphone. In order to send the URL of the page you are viewing, right-click on an area of the page with no text or images, and then select [Open page by mobile device] from the list. Once the notification has arrived on your smartphone and the notification has opened, your browser will automatically open and this page will be displayed.

    Please note, depending on the type of text that is sent to your smartphone, you may be able to select what action to execute from your smartphone.

    • Phone number links: Call, Add to Contacts
    • Links except phone numbers: Open in browser, Read Later
    • Selected text: Open in Maps, Copy, Send by Messages
    • Selected page: Open in browser, Open later

Web App Linker setup

The Web App Linker allows you to freely use Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Evernote and much more on Sleipnir 3 without repeatedly logging in, logging out and other routine tasks. It merely requires that you verify whichever Internet services you are using. This is only required once.

  • Verify your Web apps

    Fenrirpass Connect

    Access the Settings page, select the web app you want to verify, and then click [verify].
    You will be transferred to the particular web application verification screen. Input your ID and. IDs and passwords of web apps will not be stored in Fenrir Pass.

  • Try it out!

    Once the verification has completed, the verified web app will automatically become active so you can immediately start using it.
